Our products are continually tested and refined on the fastest yacht racing machines in the world from Orma 60’s to GC’32 right down to Moths and 470’s.

History

Fineline Marine designs and manufactures world class cordage products, Co-founded in 1996 by Peter and Evan Lawrence, the Lawrence family has a proud 75-year history of involvement in the textile industry.

In 1937 Jack Lawrence set up New Zealand’s first braiding operation. Many things have changed during 75 years in the textile industry, however, Jack’s founding principles such as honesty, integrity and only producing products of absolute quality have remained the same.

Today Fineline Marine continues to produce cordage of the highest standard. The finest quality fibers, sourced from around the world, are crafted using the latest automated European braiders and twisters in a modern purpose built factory based in Auckland, New Zealand.  

Over 35% of Fineline Marine’s products are now exported around the globe and Fineline continues to support local sailing and sailing organisations.
