Our Legacy

In the 1980s, we rebranded from “Goodline” to “Xcel,” a move that marked a new era for C E Lawford. This shift was inspired by our innovative approach to packaging Wire Hardware—shackles, and more—using our state-of-the-art skin packaging machine. This same machine still stands proudly downstairs, a testament to our enduring commitment to quality and efficiency.

What began with wire hardware quickly evolved into a diverse range of products. Today, the Xcel brand encompasses an extensive selection of pre-packaged screws and fasteners, door and lock hardware, tools, and garden tools. Each product is designed to meet the “BETTER” standard, offering you exceptional quality that sits comfortably in the “good, better, best” market spectrum.

Our Approach
